TEHRAN - Mohammad-Nabi Habibi, the secretary general of the Islamic Coalition Party, said on Thursday that the proposition that a committee be established to safeguard electoral votes is an "act of betrayal". 

In response to a reformist figure who had suggested that representatives of a number of Muslim countries be invited to supervise elections, he said that the Iranian nation themselves can safeguard the Islamic Revolution.
